“You will know them by their fruits. Every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.”

Joe Biden on Civil Rights
On January 25, 2020, Joe Biden tweeted: “Let’s be clear: Transgender equality is the civil rights issue of our time. There is no room for compromise when it comes to basic human rights.”
The reactions to Joe Biden’s tweet included these two tweets:
Miss S.: “Let’s be clear: You want men who “feel like a woman” to share the changing room with women and girls. You want to take away women’s sex based rights because it makes trans males feel better. Let’s be really clear: you don’t care about the safety of women.”
Former transgender James Shupe, who has since reclaimed his male birth sex: “Men in women's bathrooms with little girls. Males winning 1st place in female sports. Males in women's homeless shelters. Male predators being placed in female prisons based on ‘feelings’ of being a woman - and Biden calls it the civil rights issue of our time. Women, do you agree?”
Biden’s comments came one day after hundreds of thousands marched in Washington D.C. at the annual March for Life seeking the right to life for unborn children targeted for abortion. Pro-life advocates say that the right to life is the greatest human rights issue of the day and is the foundation of all other rights. President Donald Trump stated at the event: “We are here for a very simple reason: to defend the right of every child, born and unborn, to fulfill their God-given potential.”

Seemingly related to the above topic is the following, reported by Newsweek and a number of other news agencies:
During an August 15, 2019 campaign stop in Iowa, when asked by a college student, “How many genders are there?”, Joe Biden answered, “There are at least three.” When the student asked, “What are they?”, Biden responded, “Don’t play games with me, kid.”
Here is one of many sources reporting this, captured in a video, the website of churchmilitant.com Biden there are 3 genders

Joe Biden on Abortion
Joe Biden supports same-sex marriage:
In 2012, as Barack Obama and Joe Biden ran for a second term, Joe Biden stated, “I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women, and heterosexual men and women marrying one another are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties.” For the source of this statement, link here to our site’s “LGBT” Issues page.

Planned Parenthood C.E.O. and Acting President Alexis McGill Johnson: “This election is a fight for our country’s very survival. Joe Biden is the only candidate in this race who will stand up for our health and our rights.”
Planned Parenthood has officially endorsed Democrat Joe Biden for president
June 15, 2020:
WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Planned Parenthood Action Fund announced its endorsement of Vice President Joe Biden for president of the United States.
“Biden,” McGill Johnson elaborated, “was ‘instrumental in the creation of the Affordable Care Act, which expanded birth control with no co-pay to 63 million women’, and in helping to ensure that sexual and reproductive health care was accessible across the country,” and “has committed to champion access to sexual and reproductive health care - “ including access to abortion…. When he left the Senate, Vice President Joe Biden had a 100% voting record from Planned Parenthood Action Fund, and has been clear he is ‘100% for sexual and reproductive health.'”
In addition to endorsing Biden, Planned Parenthood has promised to triple its election spending this year, with $45 million earmarked towards battleground states.
Biden is a supporter of Planned Parenthood and also has a 100% rating from NARAL. His official health care plan includes repealing the Hyde Amendment (a rider which prevents federal taxpayer dollars from paying for most abortions), codifying the “right” to abortion into federal law, and increasing taxpayer funding for abortion organizations, including Planned Parenthood.
The Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) responded to Planned Parenthood’s endorsement, writing, “[Biden] supports taxpayer-funded abortion on demand through the moment of birth and vows to stack the Supreme Court with pro-abortion justices who will serve life terms. Planned Parenthood noted that this election is about ‘life and death.’ On that point we agree - ’ the lives of countless children are at stake.”

Jeanne Mancini, president of the March for Life criticized the endorsement in a statement. “It is offensive to hear our nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, an organization that claims the lives of 345,672 American babies annually (a third of all of the abortions in this country each year), call the 2020 cycle a ‘life and death’ election,” she said. “Those who really care about protecting life realize that the election of Planned Parenthood-endorsed candidate, Joe Biden, will result in a major increase of tax dollars going to the billion-dollar organization, including direct payment for abortions, among other deadly consequences.”

October 2012 Vice Presidential Debate
In the October 2012 Vice Presidential Debate, Joe Biden stated,“… Life begins at conception in the church’s judgment. I accept it in my personal life. But I refuse to impose it on equally devout Christians and Muslims and Jews, and I just refuse to impose that on others, unlike my friend here, the - ’ the congressman. I - ’ I do not believe that we have a right to tell other people that - “ women they can’t control their body. It’s a decision between them and their doctor. In my view and the Supreme Court, I’m not going to interfere with that.” *

Joe Biden declares abortion “essential health care”
April 29, 2020
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden officially declared his thoughts regarding abortion access during the COVID-19 crisis in an April 28 video with Hillary Clinton, who has endorsed his candidacy. “We need to ensure that women have access to all health services during this crisis…. Abortion is an essential health care service,” Biden claimed.
“And in this case, health care delayed means health care denied,” Biden said, as Clinton listened and nodded. “States should not be using a public health crisis to infringe on a woman’s constitutional right.”
Biden was evidently reading from or reciting prepared remarks; a fact sheet released by his campaign on Tuesday included those sentences, with minor differences.
The fact sheet went on to say:
If Biden was President today, he would put science over fiction and ensure states treat abortion as the essential health service it is. This builds on his existing women’s health care agenda. His Justice Department will stop the rash of state laws that so blatantly violate Roe v. Wade. And, he will work to codify Roe, repeal the Hyde Amendment, restore federal funding for Planned Parenthood, including through Medicaid and Title X, and restore access to contraception coverage.
It was the latest move on the abortion issue by Biden, a Roman Catholic, who reversed his opposition to the Hyde Amendment just ten months ago. The Hyde Amendment prohibits federal funding of abortion except in cases of rape, incest, or when the mother’s life is endangered.

Joe Biden’s Plagiarism: Relevant Today?
Here are links to two short videos of Joe Biden, collections of excerpts from 1987 and 1988 news stories by the major U.S. television networks, with no comments ahead, enabling the viewer to draw his or her own conclusions:
• Joe Biden in the News in 1987/1988 - 5 minutes:
The videos linked above, 1987/1988 news reports of the major networks, ABC, NBC and CBS, document the fact that Joe Biden made statements in pubic speeches, representing that they were his own original thoughts, that were found (by the news media) to be previous statements of other politicians. In addition, these videos show Joe Biden lying to reporters about his academic performance in university. When reporters did some research they found that Biden was lying and they further found out that he had been caught cheating in law school. Watch the actual 1987/1988 news stories on the videos and link here to the New York Times article reporting this, on the New York Times website: Joe Biden admits plagiarism in law school.
Public reaction to these revelations of Joe Biden's plagiarism, lying and cheating was strong and finished any chances he had in his 1988 run for the presidency. Is this relevant today? Recently discovered evidence reveals a similar pattern of behavior. In the following section, we present facts regarding Hunter Biden's business dealings with governments for which Vice President Joe Biden represented the United States of America, including Ukraine, China and Russia.

Does Joe Biden have “cognitive issues”?
On July 3, 2020
Dr. Ronald Jackson, who served as White House Physician during both the Obama/Biden and Trump/Pence administrations, stated that former Vice President Joe Biden needs to take a cognitive assessment and release the results.
“As a concerned American who also happens to be a physician, it’s concerning to me that he sometimes is not able to complete a sentence and doesn’t know where he is or what he’s doing - and we’ve seen that countless times now,” Dr. Jackson said.
Dr. Jackson had given the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (“MoCA”) to President Trump in 2018 at the President’s request, so Trump could quell criticism that he was mentally unfit.(President Trump’s test results were a perfect score, 30 out of 30.)
Dr. Jackson thinks Biden’s “crazy comments” warrant him taking the same test, citing Biden’s regular brain freezes and confusion over his physical location and the office he’s seeking (Senate vs. Presidency) as reasons to do so. He further stated:
• “I want my President, my Commander-in-Chief, my head of state to be a little bit sharper mentally than Joe Biden currently is.”
• “I think that he’s old enough now that he’s having cognitive difficulties and that just happens. It’s part of growing old.”
• “They cannot afford to put Joe Biden on the stage side-by-side with President Trump. It will be an unmitigated disaster for their party.”

An Independent Analysis from Australia
March 12, 2020
An analysis by the major Australian news channel, Sky News, provides a view of Joe Biden’s cognitive capabilities without the “liberal” or “conservative” bias that seems to be unavoidable in American media. This short video (seven minutes) on YouTube, with Sky News Host Rita Panahi presenting the findings of the Sky News analysis, is worth watching because it presents facts and recent videos of Joe Biden without adding any “spin”:
Does Joe Biden support African Americans?
The following content is excerpted from a May 23, 2020 article by Jack Brewer, an ordained minister working in prisons across America, former NFL safety and 3x team captain, and current Professor at the Fordham Gabelli School of Business where he is the Program Director for the Athletes and Artist Executive MBA program.
Addressing Joe Biden’s May 22nd radio show comment to Lenard McKelvey that if he can’t decide whether to vote for Biden or Trump then he “ain’t black”, Brewer writes that Biden has a “record of being one of the most racially oppressive lawmakers in modern American history”. He further states:
• It’s tragic that Joe Biden continues to have confidence in carrying the black vote despite an ongoing history of supporting school segregation.
• This dates all the way back to the '70s when he opposed bussing for poor black kids and continued with the Obama-Biden administration's opposition of school choice, which widened the education gap for underserved black youth across our country.
• Biden wrote the 1994 mass incarceration bill that disproportionately locked up millions of black men, helping to spike black fatherlessness rates across America.
• It was Donald J. Trump who actually dismantled Biden’s racist crime bill with the passing of the First Step Act.
• To the surprise of many, the Obama/Biden administration made very little policy progress for black Americans… Black America saw a continuation of Biden’s mass incarceration policies, a surge in black-on-black crime and a consistent refusal to support school choice.

More analysis on Biden’s Comment to Lenard McKelvey
In a May 24, 2020 interview, Jack Brewer further commented on Joe Biden’s May 22nd radio show comment to Lenard McKelvey that if he can’t decide whether to vote for Biden or Trump then he “ain’t black”:
In this comment, “America can see the real Joe Biden. I hope all of my African American brothers and sisters see this.” Brewer told Fox & Friends Weekend.
“It is time to … have a real soul test to see the man who has really jailed black men en masse in the past two and a half decades,” Brewer said.
Brewer was referring to Biden’s deep involvement in the drafting of the 1994 crime bill. As a Delaware senator, Biden drafted the 1994 crime bill, which was passed by then-president Bill Clinton. Biden has long emphasized his role in drafting the law, which was at the time the largest crime-fighting bill in the history of the country. The measure provided for thousands of new police officers, millions of dollars to fund prevention programs and billions of dollars to build new prisons. The law has long been criticized by Democrats who blame the measure for increasing incarceration, particularly among minorities, due to a policy of mandatory life imprisonment for repeat offenders.
“I teach in prisons across the country… at some point Joe Biden has to talk about the real black families that he decimated through his 1994 crime bill.”

1994 Crime Bill - The Pinocchio Test
Biden tries to deflect criticism that the 1994 crime bill contributed to an increase in incarceration by pinning the blame on the states for building more prisons and passing tougher laws. But the federal law set the tone - “ and the bill he crafted included incentives for states to overhaul their laws and build more prisons.
There are many factors that contributed to the United States having such a high incarceration rate, but few dispute the crime bill was a contributor. Bill Clinton has acknowledged this. If Biden is going to lay claim to the “Biden Crime Bill,” he also needs to take ownership of some of its flaws apparent a quarter-century later.

Joe Biden on the Economy
"The core of Mr. Biden’s tax plan is to raise the corporate rate to 28 percent from 21 percent, which would put America behind global competitors and raise taxes on ordinary workers.
The nonpartisan Tax Foundation estimates that Mr. Biden’s plan would reduce wages by close to 1 percent for average workers. The think tank projects that over 585,000 jobs would be slashed. And they find that GDP would shrink by over 1.5 percent.
And more liberal-leaning estimates, including from the Tax Policy Center, concede that under Mr. Biden’s plan all taxpayers, including those at the bottom end of the income scale, would see an increase in taxes owed, beginning in 2021.
Additionally, Mr. Biden’s plan to reverse the new 20 percent pass-through deduction for small businesses would “diminish the job-creating and sustaining capacity of millions of small businesses that file under the individual income tax system,” according to Patrick Gleason, Vice President of State Affairs at Americans for Tax Reform.
“Raising taxes on the heels of this economic crisis is like punching a hole in your boat at the end of a storm,” Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX) said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.
Mr. Biden’s agenda beyond the tax code—ranging from infrastructure to expanded Social Security benefits—would need significant financing. New York Magazine notes that “there is simply no way for [Democrats] to durably finance the kind of welfare state that Joe Biden claims to support on deficit spending and soaking the uber-rich alone.”

Father Meeks' summary of the positions of Joe Biden and the Democratic Party in regard to the Catholic Church's Five Non-Negotiable issues begins at the 11:25 minute mark of this YouTube video.
In this powerful and compelling homily, Father Meeks stresses that the 2020 election is like no other before it, stating, "We are part of a society that is staring into an abyss. How our nation votes on November 3 will determine whether we collectively step into the abyss or step back from the edge..."- Father Ed Meeks, Pastor of Christ the King Parish, Towson, Maryland
In the recent Presidential debate, Joe Biden stated, "I am the Democratic Party". Refer to our Party Platforms Comparison page to compare the Democratic Party's positions to Catholic Church teaching. In brief: The Democratic Party considers abortion, i.e., the killing of an unborn baby, to be "reproductive health care" that is the mother's "right" at any age of the baby until birth and, further, that taxpayers should subsidize this.
Consider the recent evaluations by Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York, commenting on the Democratic Party, the positions of which are espoused by Joe Biden: Link here: Cardinal Dolan on the Democratic Party - March 23, 2018 (in our Parties' Stand On Life page).
